Fill your whole screen with pure white, black or any color. Great as a soft light for video calls, a tracing light box, a dead pixel check or for spotting dust while cleaning.

A plain image in the current color and brightness, for wallpapers, slides or design mockups. You can use it for anything.

How to use the White Screen

  1. Pick a color: white, black, a ready-made color, or any color with the picker or a hex code.
  2. For video calls, open Video-call light and slide from warm to cool until your face looks natural.
  3. Click the screen preview or Show full screen. Move the mouse or tap to bring back the controls; press Esc to exit.
  4. For a dead pixel check, choose Pixel test and step through the colors with ←/→, looking for dots that stay the wrong color.
  5. Need a plain image instead? Open Download as an image, pick a size and download a PNG or JPG.

How it works

This page fills your display with a single solid color using your browser's full-screen mode. Nothing is streamed or downloaded: the color is drawn directly by your browser, so it works offline once the page has loaded and looks perfectly even edge to edge. While the color is showing, the page asks the browser to keep your screen awake (where supported), hides the mouse pointer after a moment, and keeps the controls out of the way until you move the mouse or tap.

Video-call light. A bright screen next to your camera works like a soft-box light. The light slider converts a color temperature in kelvins into an on-screen color: low numbers (2000–3000 K) are warm like a candle or old bulb, around 5500–6500 K matches daylight, and higher values look cool and blue. Turn your display brightness up for the strongest light, and sit an arm's length away so the light is soft rather than harsh.

Dead and stuck pixels. A dead pixel stays black on every color; a stuck pixel stays one color (often red, green or blue). Showing pure white, black, red, green and blue one at a time makes both kinds easy to spot. This tool deliberately does not include rapid flashing "pixel fixer" modes, because fast flashing light can trigger seizures in people with photosensitive epilepsy and has no reliable benefit.

Other uses. Black is best for spotting dust and streaks while cleaning a screen (turn the display off before wiping it). Maximum-brightness white makes a handy light box for tracing drawings, reading a document in a dim room or checking film negatives. Gray levels help you spot uneven backlight or "clouding" on a monitor.

Eye comfort. A full-brightness white screen in a dark room can be dazzling. Use the brightness slider, take breaks, and don't stare at a bright screen for long periods.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make my whole screen white?
Choose White (it is selected when the page opens) and click Show full screen or the screen preview. Press Esc, or tap and choose ✕ Exit, to leave.

Can I use this as a light for Zoom or Teams calls?
Yes. Open Video-call light, pick a warm or daylight color, show it full screen on a second monitor or in a window beside your call, and turn your screen brightness up. It works with any video-call app because it is simply a bright screen.

How do I check my monitor for dead pixels?
Open Pixel test, go full screen and step through each color with ←/→. Look closely for any dot that stays black or stays a different color than the rest of the screen.

Does full screen work on iPhone?
iPhone browsers don't allow web pages to use true full-screen mode, so on iPhone the color fills the browser window instead. Rotate the phone or scroll slightly to hide the toolbars for the biggest area.

Can I use the downloaded images for anything?
Yes. They are plain single-color images generated on your device, so you can use them for wallpapers, slides, videos or designs without asking permission.
