Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

This policy explains what happens to your information when you use My Digital Drawer (mydigitaldrawer.com). The short version: the tools run on your own device, and we never receive the files, text, recordings or numbers you put into them.

1. Your files and content stay on your device

Every tool on this site runs inside your web browser using JavaScript, WebAssembly and built-in browser features. When you open a PDF, photo, audio or video file, type text, enter numbers, draw a signature or record sound, it is processed on your own device. We do not operate a server that receives, stores or reviews this content, and we cannot see it.

2. Microphone, screen and camera access

The Voice Recorder and Screen Recorder only access your microphone or screen after you press the record button and your browser asks for, and you grant, permission. Recordings stay in your browser until you download them or close the page. We never receive them. You can withdraw access at any time in your browser's site settings. No tool on this site uses your camera.

3. Information saved in your own browser

Some tools remember things for your convenience using your browser's local storage, which stays on your device and is never sent to us. Examples: your light or dark theme and cookie choice; the tools you star for My Drawer, the tools you opened recently, and your daily streak and usage counts shown on the homepage (just which tools you opened and on which days, never what you did in them); the cities in your Time Zone Converter and World Clocks; your countdown, timer and alarm settings; notes in the Online Notepad; flashcard decks; your Spin the Wheel list; people and expenses in the Bill Splitter; saved citations; timer, noise and unit settings; and your best typing score. You can delete this data with each tool's clear or delete button, or by clearing this site's data in your browser. On a shared or public computer, clear it when you are done.

If you add My Digital Drawer to your home screen or install it as an app, your browser keeps a small "you're offline" page and the site icon on your device so it can show them when you have no connection. Nothing about you or your files is stored this way, and you can remove it by uninstalling the app or clearing the site's data in your browser.

If you turn on "Also show a browser notification" for a countdown alarm, your browser asks for permission first. The notification is created by your own browser on your device; nothing is sent to us or to any notification service.

4. Personality test answers

Answers to the Personality Test are scored in your browser and never sent to us. Unfinished progress is kept in your browser's local storage so you can resume, and it is deleted when you finish. If you share your results, the link contains only your five trait scores (after the "#"), never your answers. We also configure analytics so the part of a link after "#" is not reported.

5. Shared links

Some tools, such as Spin the Wheel, can make a link that contains your list. The list is stored after the "#" in the link, a part browsers do not send to web servers, so we never receive it. Anyone you give the link to can see the list.

6. Passwords and encryption

The Password Strength Checker and File Encryption Tool process your password only in your browser. Passwords are never stored, logged or transmitted. Files are encrypted with standard Web Crypto (AES-256-GCM); because we never have your password, we cannot recover a file if you forget it.

7. What we do collect: analytics (only with your consent)

If you click "Accept" on our cookie banner, we load Google Analytics to count visits and see which tools are popular. Google Analytics may set cookies and receive information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and your IP address, under Google's Privacy Policy. If you click "Reject," analytics is not loaded. Your choice is saved in your browser; to change it, clear this site's data and choose again. Analytics never receives the content you process in the tools.

8. Advertising

To keep the tools free, we show, or plan to show, ads from Google AdSense and possibly other ad networks. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), ads will only be personalized with your consent.

9. Services that deliver the website

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which, like any web host, processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver pages and protect against attacks. Some tools load open-source code libraries from public content delivery networks (cdnjs and jsDelivr); those services see a request for the library, as with any web resource, but never your files. See our Open-Source Credits for the full list.

10. Email and the "Report an issue" form

If you email us or use the "Report an issue" form, we receive your message, the name of the page you were on and, only if you provide it, your email address. Form messages are passed through Cloudflare (which hosts this site) and delivered to our email inbox; they are not stored on our website. We use them only to answer you and fix or improve the site, keep them only as long as needed, and never use your email address for marketing or share it with anyone else.

11. Browser extension

Our optional "My Digital Drawer – Quick Tools" browser extension is a shortcut that helps you find a tool and open it on this website. It does not collect, store or send any personal information, and it cannot read the pages you visit, your browsing history or your files. It asks for no special browser permissions. The list of tools you opened most recently is kept only inside the extension on your own device so it can show them first; removing the extension deletes it. When you open a tool, the link includes a label showing it came from the extension (for example utm_source=browser-extension), which our analytics may count only if you have allowed analytics on this site. Everything else in this policy applies once the tool opens on our website.

12. Your choices and rights

Because we don't collect the content you use in the tools, there is usually no personal data for us to access or delete. For analytics and advertising cookies, you can reject analytics on our banner, use the opt-out links above, or block cookies in your browser. Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or state privacy laws such as California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, delete or opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; we do not sell personal information. Contact us to make a request.

13. Children's privacy

This site is a general-audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version.
