Convert a Word document's text into a PDF.
This tool extracts the text from your Word document and lays it out as paragraphs in a new PDF, with automatic line wrapping and page breaks. It's built for text-based documents (letters, reports, notes).
It does not preserve original fonts, colors, images, tables, or complex formatting — those will be lost, and only the plain text carries over. For a document that needs to look pixel-identical to the original, you'd want to "Print to PDF" from Word itself instead.
Will my formatting be preserved?
Text formatting like bold, italics, headings, and paragraph structure carries over. Very complex layouts with unusual elements may render slightly differently than in Word itself.
Can I convert a .doc (older Word format) file too?
This tool is built for the modern .docx format. If you have an older .doc file, save it as .docx in Word first, then convert it here.
Is this a one-way conversion, or can I convert PDF back to Word too?
This tool goes Word to PDF specifically. For the reverse direction, use the PDF to Word tool.
